There are buses available hourly going directly from Madrid airport to Salamanca.

Tickets can be easily purchased through trainline on the day of travel (depending on availability)

Alternatively you can also hire a car and make the drive. It is just over 2 hours on a quiet toll road.

After the ceremony at Salamanca Cathedral, we’ll provide transportation to Hacienda Zorita for all our guests. Coaches will be waiting outside the cathedral to take you directly to the vineyard, so you won’t need to worry about directions or taxis. Return transport back to Salamanca will also be arranged later in the evening.

Salamanca is one of Spain’s most beautiful historic cities, and there’s so much to explore:

• Plaza Mayor – the heart of the city and one of Europe’s most stunning squares. Perfect for coffee, tapas, or simply people-watching.

• University of Salamanca – founded in 1218, it’s one of the oldest universities in Europe. Look for the famous frog carved into the façade for good luck!

• Casa Lis – a striking Art Nouveau mansion turned museum, filled with stained glass and art deco treasures.

• New & Old Cathedrals – climb the towers for panoramic views over the terracotta rooftops.

• Tapas hopping – Salamanca is known for its lively tapas scene, especially around Calle Van Dyck and the old town streets.

• River walks – stroll across the Roman Bridge or enjoy a walk by the Tormes River.

It’s a compact city, so you can see a lot in a short amount of time.

Don’t worry - we’ve made this really easy for you! If you’re moving from central Salamanca to stay at Hacienda Zoritaon the night of the wedding:

• On the morning of the wedding, you’ll receive a luggage tag.

• Simply leave your bag at the reception of your hotel in Salamanca, and it will be collected for you.

• Your luggage will be delivered directly to Hacienda Zorita and placed in your room, ready and waiting.

• You’ll be able to check in online in advance, so once you arrive at the vineyard for the cocktail reception, you’ll only need to give your name at the desk to collect your room key and head straight into the celebrations.

This way, you can enjoy the day stress-free no dragging suitcases around, just straight into champagne and dancing!

There is no strict dress code- please wear whatever makes you feel amazing! We’ve created a Look Book if you’d like inspiration.

The only rule we kindly ask is that ladies do not wear white or cream on the wedding day.

Yes! While there is no Uber in Salamanca, there are plenty of reliable local taxis available. If you prefer to travel to Hacienda Zorita on your own schedule rather than using the wedding transport, taxis can easily take you from central Salamanca to the venue (about 15–20 minutes by car). Your hotel reception will be happy to help you arrange one.

Yes! We will have a recommended hair and makeup team available in Salamanca on the wedding morning. Once we have final numbers, we’ll share a booking link and time slots so you can reserve an appointment in advance.
